The quick start button opens a small window that allows you to check Facebook during your work hours in a subtle manner.

What is Facebook?

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, post links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.

The Facebook website is free to use, although the company engages in advertising sales and has been developing ways to monetize its service to make money.

News Feed: This is the main page that you see when you open up your Facebook app. It shows all of your friends' posts, pictures and videos in chronological order. You can scroll through it to see what's happening with everyone in your life at any given moment.

Messenger: This is a separate messaging app from Facebook that lets you chat with friends privately or in groups. It also lets you send voice messages, video calls, stickers and more.

Search: Search allows you to find people on Facebook by typing their name into a search bar at the top of your screen. When someone has deleted their account (or been deleted), they will no longer be searchable.

Groups: Groups let people come together around shared interests or passions to build communities around common interests and goals."
